The standards and regulations in place for tap water delivery are stringent, while the standards for bottled water are considerably less so. Further, the public waterworks are able to deliver water to homes and businesses for a fraction of the cost of bottled water companies. Recent studies show that buying bottled water can cost as much as 2,000 times as much as utilizing water supplied from the tap!
Or, to put it in more readily applicable terms, bottled water can cost 2 to 3 times as much as a gallon of regular gas.
Reliance on the public water system doesn’t need to be based on finances. Whether it’s confidence in the treatment process, convenience, or the changing economy, we are glad that customers can fully rely on the American public water system.
