Texas Water Distribution Course Approved

American Water College Expands into Texas

Austin, TX, June 9, 2017

American Water College announces expansion into Texas with the approval of their Water Distribution course by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

“We’re excited to provide the great state of Texas with this new online course. Because Texas is so expansive, getting to training classes can be difficult for many operators.  Since our courses can be completed from anywhere in the world where there is internet access, we believe Texas water operators will benefit from this new offering,” said American Water College President, Joe Kerschner.

American Water College launched the new course on June 6, 2017, and has plans to release additional training for occupational licensing in Texas over the next several months.  Those interested in registering for the courses can contact American Water College at 661-874-1655 or online at AmericanWaterCollege.org/Texas.

When asked why he founded the school, Joe said, “I started American Water College to help people like me.  As a water professional, I wasn’t able for find training that taught me what I needed to know in a way that I understood.  I failed my first exam twice.  There was a lot of good information out there, but it was useless to me because the teachers didn’t explain it in a way that made sense to me.”

Since founding American Water College in 2006, Joe Kerschner and his staff have been developing industry-leading training for water and wastewater professionals.  Using technology and effective teaching methods, American Water College has developed a licensing exam preparation system that guarantees its students will pass their exams.  They achieve a 98% pass rate for students who complete the course.

Joe was joined by his twin brother, Jay in 2015.  “My focus at American Water College is to ensure our staff develops the best in class training while providing a world class learning experience for our students.  I’m excited about combining my passion for teaching and focus on results to help the water professionals we serve achieve excellence,” said American Water College Executive Director, Jay Kerschner.
