The Top Ops Final round was played out during the Rock Star Lunch. The teams making it to the finals were the Smooth Operators from Alameda County Water District, the Ace Apprentices from San Francisco, and the Water Dogs, which was a combined team of Jeff Page from Montara Water and Sanitary District & Steve Twitchell of Coastside County Water District. The Smooth Operators got off to an early lead and gave the Water Dogs a run for their money. The Dogs came on strong at the end to finish on top. The Water Dogs will represent the CA-NV Section in the National Competition, to be held in Dallas, Texas this June.
The Rock Star Lunch was held in honor of all of the volunteers that work hard to make this event happen. CA-NV Section Executive Director Tim Worley showed his appreciation to numerous volunteers by nominating many for a Rock Star AWWArd.
