In this video we look at hydrant parts and the different classifications. Each color represents a different flow rate.
Red hydrants have a flow below 500 gallons per minute (GPM).
Orange hydrants are between 500 and 999 GPM.
Green hydrants are between 1,000 and 1499 GPM.
Blue hydrants are 1500 GPM or more.
